Q: What is the location where we will be staying?

Q: Is there a poster session for outside students?

A: Yes, there will be a poster session and competition, with great prizes. Please bring your posters with you to show off your research!

 

Q: Should I bring my laptop for the computer labs?

A: Yes, bringing your own laptop is highly recommended.

 

Q: Is lodging covered for the first Sunday and last Friday nights

A: Yes, rooms are reserved a night before and one after the school

 

Q: Is there a registration time or meeting on Sunday?

A: Check in is at any time on Sunday. There is no meeting planned for Sunday. Participants will pick up an information packet upon their arrival at the Residence Hall.

 

Q: Is there a website with general information?

A: This is where all pertinent information will be posted. We are continuously updating it.

 

Q: What is the closest airport?

A: UIUC Willard Airport is approximately 15 minutes from campus. The airport code is CMI.

 

Q: Will there be travel arrangements made from the airport?

A: No, you can take a taxi or a bus from the airport to the dorm.

 

Q: Is Lincolnland Express a good bus company to travel from Chicago to Urbana?

A: Yes, the Lincolnland Express is a good bus to take. The bus should drop you off in front of the dorm.

 

Q:How do we check in on our arrival?

A: Someone will be at the front desk to check you in.

 

Q: What is the rooming situation? If there are roommates, can I request one?

A: There will be two persons per room. It is possible to request a roommate- we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

 

Q: Will I have access to internet?

A: Yes, you will have a temporary guest account so you can access the internet from May 24 through June 4.

 

Q: What should I budget for meals during the session? Are any meals provided?

A: Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the weekdays. You are responsible for all meals on the weekends and dinner during the week.

 

Q: Is there a good-bye reception on the last evening?

A: There will be a short “graduation” ceremony and good-bye reception Friday, June 4th. Diplomas will be distributed.
